Bespoke Windows Ashford Banner

Listed Property Timber Windows, Ashford

Ashford, Kent

Project Details

This historic listed property in Ashford needed its windows replaced with bespoke timber units that preserved the building’s character while meeting modern standards. On a listed building, that means satisfying both the look of the original windows and the regulations that protect them.

Securing approval was a lengthy process. We provided additional drawings to support the planning application, working through the detail needed to get sign-off. Once approved, we manufactured and installed bespoke timber windows tailored to the original openings, matching the proportions and multi-pane glazing bars the property called for.

The finished windows preserve the character of a historic home while bringing the performance and longevity of newly made timber. It is a good example of how a tightly regulated listed project can be carried out sympathetically, with the right drawings and craftsmanship behind it.
