This project formed part of the renovation of a characterful period stone home in Ruckinge, just a short distance from our workshop. The owners needed replacement sash windows that would sit comfortably within the original openings and keep the traditional character of the property intact.
We crafted and supplied bespoke sliding sash windows in premium red grandis, a stable, fine-grained hardwood well suited to traditional joinery. Each window runs on spring balances for smooth operation and was given a full factory paint finish for a clean, durable result, complete with Hardwick ironmongery.
Set against the home’s exposed stonework, the finished sashes restore the period look of the property while bringing a crisp, freshly painted finish: handcrafted timber windows made to suit a home with real character.
